Reporting to the Environment Delivery Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving forward the Council's climate and ecological emergency agenda.

The Role
As the Team Leader for Climate and Ecological Emergency, you will be responsible for:
- Leading a small team, delivering a big impact through delivering projects and initiatives aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions, promoting energy efficiency and renewable energy generation and enhancing biodiversity.
- Working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to identify and implement effective climate and ecological solutions.
- Managing the delivery of grants and funding opportunities to support environmental projects.
- Monitoring and reporting on progress towards climate and ecological targets.
- Providing expert advice to Council members and other teams.
- Extensive knowledge and experience in climate change action, energy efficiency and renewables and nature recovery.
- Proven leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Strong project management abilities, with experience in delivering environmental initiatives.
- Expertise in funding applications and grant management.
