Job Title: Sales Lead

Position Overview
The Sales Lead is responsible for generating new business opportunities, building strong customer relationships, and driving revenue growth. This role requires a proactive, customer-focused approach, combining technical knowledge of warehouse and EV operations with consultative sales skills. The ideal candidate will be motivated by results and confident in navigating client conversations to identify real needs and offer tailored solutions, including preventative maintenance programs, forklift training, fleet renewal services, and battery or EV solutions.
Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within a defined territory.
  • Conduct prospect research and maintain accurate lead tracking in the CRM.
  • Perform outreach through a structured cycle: postcards, letters, follow-up calls, and in-person visits.
  • Engage with customers using need-based selling, focusing on solving specific operational challenges and recurring issues with services such as:
    • Preventative Maintenance
    • On-Site Repairs and Maintenance
    • Forklift Certification Training
    • Fleet Renewal Programs
    • Battery Maintenance
    • Rentals and Lease Options
    • New EV Solutions
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure seamless delivery of services and solutions.
  • Participate in customer site visits to understand operational workflows and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with warehouse and technical staff to leverage insights on recurring equipment or fleet issues for customer conversations.
  • Track outreach efforts and results to optimize sales cycles and strategies.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products, services, and competitive landscape.
  • Achieve or exceed sales targets and contribute to team revenue goals.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in sales, preferably in material handling, fleet services, or industrial equipment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish credibility with customers.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on measurable financial outcomes.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize outreach cycles.
  • Technical aptitude to understand equipment, maintenance, and operational challenges.
  • Comfortable making in-person customer visits and delivering presentations.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with consultative or solution-based selling.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and sales tracking tools.
  • Understanding of warehouse operations or EV fleet management.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to translate technical knowledge into customer solutions.
