WBCSD Asia Pacific represents the interests of WBCSD across Asia and the Oceania. WBCSD works with almost 25% of our members headquartered in the region, together with forging relationships with key partner organizations and other key stakeholders to accelerate system transformations needed for a net zero, nature positive, and equitable future. It also works to ensure the outreach, engagement, and actions of WBCSD reflect the regional circumstances of the Asia Pacific market.


Job Overview

The Senior Associate will support the Executive Director in raising the profile of WBCSD and the impact of our work in Asia Pacific through strengthened member and prospect engagement, strategic communications, and targeted events.


In this role, the Senior Associate will gain exposure to a large community of high level profiles within some of APAC largest companies, across multiple sectors.


The Senior Associate will play a critical role in planning, coordinating, and executing the role for all member-facing engagement, mapping member needs with WBCSD programs, to deliver our content and amplify our impact regionally. Working in collaboration with WBCSD Program teams, the Senior Associate will gain a good understanding of the most pressing sustainability challenges within APAC business community. The role will be reporting to the Senior Director, Member Relations.


Main Responsibilities

We are looking for a highly motivated individual, able to build communities, organize events, coordinate engagement plans, to help accelerate business and systems transformation in the region.

  • Creation, management and internal/external communication of a member engagement program around the Membership criteria and projects, engaging 50+ member companies across Asia & Pacific
  • Coordination and delivery of an ongoing series of in person dialogues with businesses across Asia and the Pacific, amplifying WBCSD content on the most pressing issues for the region and WBCSD
  • Plan and execute regional member events end-to-end, including website design, registration management, materials production, on-site logistics, and post-event reporting
  • Co-ordination and optimization of the Leadership team & extended leadership team presence across Asia and the Pacific to support the strategy, maximizing efficiency and impact.
  • Launch, produce, and facilitate ongoing member engagement programmes, including a quarterly member APAC Community Call and a weekly member newsletter
  • Design and execute targeted prospect outreach campaigns using web lead data and Salesforce CRM, and co-produce a monthly Insights Webinar series with regional counterparts across North America and Europe
  • Build and maintain regional reporting tools, including an APAC Engagement Tracker consolidating event attendance, seniority data, at-risk accounts, and community membership profiles to inform leadership strategy
  • Draft and manage member- and prospect-facing communications across the full engagement lifecycle, from invitations and pre-reads to post-event summaries and follow-up sequences
  • Manage ongoing communications with regional network partners and other stakeholders
  • Contribute to the communication activities of WBCSD in Asia and the Pacific.
  • Recruit and manage interns as needed by the organization
  • Assist in running the office operations, team coordination, and activities.
  • Contribute to developing a global approach to WBCSD Engagement Marketing efforts, in close collaboration with EMEA and North America regions.


Qualifications, skills and experience

The candidate should have at least 3 years of experience but not more than 10 years of experience working in a business development or sales & marketing related role

  • A Bachelor’s degree or a higher education with a focus on business, management, environmental or sustainability related education tracks preferred
  • 3- 7 years of professional experience in sales, including inside sales, and marketing and excellent key account sales skills, with proven successful track record in consultative selling situations
  • Hands-on digital sales and marketing expertise using CRM tools, preferably Salesforce
  • Experience and comfort interacting at high levels in corporations, in different cultural contexts and complex project-type sales processes. Proven ability to build trusted relationships with corporate decision-makers
  • Good team spirit and the ability to build, nurture and work effectively in teams of partners/stakeholders, able to interact with senior representatives of WBCSD and member companies.
  • An action oriented mindset to mobilize stakeholders and thereby overcoming barriers to deliver results
  • Advanced knowledge of major MS-Office tools (excel, ppt, word)
  • Excellent communication skills in English (spoken & written), strong presentation skills with the ability to adjust style of communication to suit audience.


The position is full-time & maternity cover for 6 months, with the start date in September, and will be based in Singapore. The role will require domestic and international travel.
