Job Overview
WBCSD is looking for 2 summer interns to assist the APAC team in delivering the WBCSD APAC Event. This year, WBCSD will partner with Ecosperity, Temasek’s flagship sustainability event, from 18-21 May to host WBCSD’s regional APAC Event. The event will bring together sustainability leaders and experts from the region and across all sectors for a week of roundtables, workshops and discussions, along with networking events that we are organising as part of the week.
We are looking for an outgoing, self-motivated individual who is interested in sustainability and able to work independently and communicate effectively with both the team and external partners/vendors. Ideally, the candidate should have event management and/or communications and marketing skills.
The internship is full-time and based in Singapore, with occasional additional hours required outside of regular office hours during the Ecosperity week.
Main Responsibilities
- Organizing invites
- Working with global content leads on event agendas
- Coordinating notes of meetings and event lineup
- Assisting with event planning
- On-site event management
- Post-event follow up
- Other ad-hoc activities
Qualifications, Skills, and Experiences
- Candidates currently or recently enrolled in a graduate or undergraduate degree program with an interest and aptitude to work in event planning, customer service, marketing, communications, business management/administration or sustainability fields are preferred
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
- Well versed in Microsoft office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Proven ability to work in a team and to multitask
- Prior experience in event management is a bonus
- Must be able to commit for 3 months minimally, ideally to start by first week of April
The position is fixed-term for 3 months and is based in Singapore.
