Business Development & Sales Specialist – Indoor Climate Solutions (Germany)

? Düsseldorf / Frankfurt / München | ? Full-time | ? Wavin

Help build a healthier, more sustainable future.

At Wavin, we don’t just manufacture products—we create impact. Our purpose is to build healthy, sustainable environments by delivering innovative water and indoor climate solutions that improve the places where we live, work, and thrive. From outdated sewer systems to energy-wasting buildings, the challenges are real—and so is our commitment to solving them.

As part of the global Orbia group, we are pioneers in sustainable building solutions, and our growth journey in Indoor Climate Solutions (ICS) is just beginning.

About the Role

To support our ambitious growth in Indoor Climate, Wavin is looking for a Business Development & Sales Specialist focused on driving revenue growth in flat stations and heat interface units (HIUs).

You will play a central role in ensuring Wavin is prescribed (specified) into new building projects at the earliest possible stage—and that we remain specified through to procurement. Your focus will be upstream: engaging heating consultants and planners, housing associations, and district heating utilities to secure our footprint early as well as closing the projects and tenders with our valued customers.

This position is based in Germany, with flexibility to work from Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, or Munich.

What You’ll Do

  • Drive sales growth for flat stations and HIUs by securing project specifications and influencing key stakeholders throughout the value chain
  • Target and build strong relationships with heating planners/consultants, housing associations, and district heating utilities
  • Develop and execute targeted account and project development plans that align with our national ICS commercial strategy
  • Act as a trusted advisor to consultants, planners, architects, and investors, creating pull for Wavin’s integrated ICS offerings
  • Ensure Wavin is specified early in projects and remains specified through to delivery and order
  • Maintain strong collaboration with the downstream sales team—handing over qualified opportunities for closure
  • Manage a robust opportunity pipeline through effective CRM usage and disciplined sales activity tracking
  • Actively share market insights to influence product development and go-to-market initiatives

What You Bring

  • Proven track record of selling flat stations and heat interface units (HIUs)—with established contacts in the German HVAC or building technology market
  • Experience working with or selling to heating consultants, housing associations, and/or district heating companies
  • 5+ years of experience in technical solution selling; sales engineering background preferred
  • Strong business development mindset—you thrive in creating and developing new opportunities
  • Solid understanding of the full project lifecycle in building construction, from specification to procurement
  • Ability to build lasting relationships and convert customer pain points into technical solutions
  • High proficiency in CRM, project tracking, and pipeline management
  • A structured, entrepreneurial mindset with strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Fluent in German and English

What We Offer

  • A purpose-led role where you can make a real-world impact in sustainable building
  • A high-autonomy position with strong influence over strategic accounts and projects
  • A collaborative culture with an international, cross-functional team
  • Competitive salary, bonus potential, and benefits package
  • Access to professional development and innovation programs to help you grow your career
