Role Description


The Manager – Regulatory Affairs is a full-time, on-site role based in New Delhi. The individual will be responsible for managing regulatory approvals and ensuring compliance for renewable energy projects serving C&I consumers across India. The role involves coordinating with DISCOMs, SLDCs, STUs, and other regulatory authorities, facilitating grid connectivity and power evacuation approvals, monitoring state-wise renewable energy policies, and supporting project execution through effective regulatory planning. The candidate will play a key role in enabling seamless renewable energy procurement by ensuring adherence to applicable regulations and approval processes.


Qualifications


• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline. A postgraduate qualification is an added advantage.

• 5–10 years of experience in the power or renewable energy sector, with a strong focus on regulatory affairs.

• Experience in obtaining state-level approvals for renewable energy projects, including grid connectivity and power evacuation for C&I consumers.

• Strong understanding of renewable energy regulations, Open Access frameworks, and state-specific policies across India.

• Knowledge of state grid infrastructure, connectivity availability across different voltage levels, and utility coordination processes.

• Experience working with regulatory bodies, including DISCOMs, SLDCs, STUs, and other government agencies.

• Strong analytical, stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
