? Location: Client site, Leeds
WPS has an exciting opportunity for a skilled Shift Maintenance Engineer to join our on-site team in Leeds. This role involves delivering both planned and reactive maintenance across a multi-building site, ensuring the smooth operation of building systems and compliance with health and safety standards.
? About The Role
As a Shift Maintenance Engineer, you’ll be responsible for:
- Performing first-line response for all planned and reactive maintenance on M&E plant including pumps, motors, drives, AHUs, LV switchgear, PLCs, and HVAC systems
- Monitoring and improving building systems for optimal performance and energy efficiency
- Ensuring helpdesk tasks are completed accurately and within agreed timescales
- Supporting the operation and control of building systems and external plant areas
- Maintaining compliance with statutory regulations and internal procedures
✅ What We’re Looking For
- Commercial Gas Safe qualifications (domestic certification beneficial)
- NVQ Level 2 in plumbing, heating & unvented hot water (preferred)
- IOSH Working Safely certification
- Strong communication and people management skills
- Sound judgement and a commitment to high standards
- Working knowledge of statutory regulations and industry codes of practice
- Ability to pass clean security checks (DBS required at offer stage)
