Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai for a Fundraising Lead. The Fundraising Lead will be responsible for developing and implementing fundraising strategies to secure financial support for the organization’s initiatives. The responsibilities include identifying and approaching potential donors, building and maintaining relationships with funding partners, writing grant proposals, and managing fundraising events. The role also involves creating strategic partnerships with corporates, foundations, and other organizations to access diverse funding sources and ensure consistent financial sustainability. Regular progress reporting and contributing to an impactful donor communication strategy are key aspects of this role.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in fundraising, grant writing, and resource mobilization for non-profits or similar organizations
- Strong networking, stakeholder engagement, and partnership-building skills
- Proficiency in creating and delivering compelling presentations and proposals
- Project management experience and ability to manage events and campaigns effectively
- Knowledge of environmental and community-focused initiatives and willingness to align with the organization’s values and mission
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (proficiency in local languages is a plus)
- Self-motivated, with the ability to lead a team and work collaboratively
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Development Studies, Communication, or related fields
