Business Development Intern

Voltpost is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Business Development Intern to support our growth efforts. The intern will assist in developing outreach campaigns, sourcing and validating new funding opportunities, and supporting grant and request for proposal (RFP) research to help expand Voltpost’s impact across urban and rural markets.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct contact acquisition and database management to support outreach efforts and partnership development.
• Assist in developing and refining outreach campaigns and messaging for prospective partners, cities, and organizations.
• Research and identify relevant grants, RFPs, and funding opportunities aligned with Voltpost’s mission.
• Support the validation and organization of grant and RFP opportunities, including summarizing key eligibility requirements and deadlines.
• Collaborate with the Business Development team to prepare outreach materials and track progress toward engagement goals.
• Contribute to special projects as needed to support growth and partnerships.
  
  

Qualifications

• Pursuing or recently completed a degree in a relevant field such as business, environmental studies, urban planning, public policy, or communications.
• Must currently reside in New York State.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to stay organized across multiple tasks.
• Interest in clean energy, climate tech, or electric mobility.
• Experience with spreadsheets, CRM tools, or data scraping platforms is a plus.
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced startup environment.
  
  

Compensation

• Part-time position (approximately 15-20 hours per week).
• Paid internship.
