Automation & Control System Engineer - Trainee

Our Center of Expertise Business Line is looking for an Automation & Control System Engineer for Trainee/Internship who will have the following responsibilities:

· Software development based on existent project requirements, backlog and roadmap;

· Design and evaluate systems architectures for network equipment and communication field network;

· Create Technical Requirements and Functional Description documents along with diagrams and supporting drawings;

· Study and analyze requirements for monitoring and control systems, security systems and other possible automation systems;

· Perform technical analysis and comparison of system solution and specific equipment, including detailed classification;

· Create supporting documentation like user manual, operation and maintenance manual, programming manual;

· On-site and remote technical support – tests and commissioning of the designed systems.

QUALIFICATIONS:

The ideal candidate will have/ be:

· Degree or master’s degree in Electrical or Computer or Automation Engineering;

· Basic programming skills (Python, Nodejs, SQL, ...);

· Basic programming skills for user interface (HTML, Javascript, CSS);

· Software development architecture and modeling;

· Basic software documentation skills;

· Basic software testing knowledge (is a plus);

· Project documentation using LaTeX (is a plus);

· Basic knowledge in communication interface and protocols (Ethernet, Modbus, REST API, ...);

· Basic knowledge of AutoCAD software (is a plus);

· Written and spoken English proficiency;

· This position could be located in Porto or Oliveira dos Frades, Portugal

· Availability for national and international travels.
