The company focuses on the development and production of battery cells and the vertical integration of the value chain. PowerCo is ramping up three cell factories with a combined capacity of up to 200 gigawatt-hours per year: Salzgitter (Germany), Valencia (Spain), and St. Thomas (Canada). About the RoleThe Senior Sales Manager leads and manages Energy Storage Solution (ESS) sales operations across the US. This role guides strategic direction, growth initiatives, and performance of the PowerCo ESS business in the region, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and maximizing market opportunities.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement the ESS business strategy for the US region, aligning initiatives with corporate objectives.
- Set and manage quarterly and annual sales targets, monitor market trends, and drive performance improvement initiatives.
- Execute sales orders, drive order intake, and revenue generation, ensuring targets align with strategic goals.
- Define PowerCo ESS solutions by engaging interdisciplinary and cross-functional stakeholders to match ESS offerings with regional market demands.
- Manage and mentor ESS Sales & Aftersales teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Develop and execute effective aftersales strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and retention.
- Oversee planning, management, and reporting of regional budgets, revenue performance, and key performance indicators to senior management.
- Function as a spokesperson for ESS US business development, representing strategic interests at senior management and board levels.
- Originate, negotiate, and execute commercial agreements, strategic partnerships, and cooperation with external stakeholders.
- Identify and evaluate potential partnerships, acquisition opportunities, and strategic alliances to expand ESS market presence.
- Stay updated and ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations, policies, and standards within the US region.
- Participate actively in industry events and networking activities, identifying new leads, customers, and market opportunities.
- 10-12+ years of experience in senior leadership roles, preferably within energy storage, renewable energy, automotive, or related industries.
- 5-7 years of people management experience.
- Required: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Economics, or related field.
- Desired: Master’s degree or MBA with specialization in Business Administration, Energy Mgmt, or related technical fields.

Pay range for this role in Belmont, California is $163,000 – $233,000, depending on education and experience.
