YOUR MISSION AT VOI

As a Senior Market Development Manager, you’ll be accountable for building and managing relationships with local decision makers, while developing the rider experience, and commercial performance in the region. In this role, you will report to the Head of Market Development and collaborate with the local Policy and Operations teams to grow Voi’s footprint and ridership in existing and new markets. This will include:


  • Building relationships with city stakeholders (e.g. city administrators, public transport authorities), managing events and initiatives in collaboration with other stakeholders to improve performance in line with city priorities.
  • Evaluating market entries, including commercial viability, regulatory readiness, and strategic fit.
  • Representing Voi for cities considering micromobility, and participating in pre-tender and tender work.
  • Managing negotiations with cities, ensuring terms that balance regulatory expectations with financial objectives.
  • Being the point of contact for city stakeholders, ensuring compliance, addressing city and user concerns, and developing solutions that maintain strong city relationships and improve the user experience.
  • Leverage data, analytics, and market insights to understand city-level P&Ls, and collaborate with local teams on initiatives that deliver measurable improvements in profitability and efficiency.
  • Working with the Growth and Product teams to ensure optimisation for growth and profitability while meeting the goals of city stakeholders.


WHAT YOU NEED TO EMBARK

We’re looking for an analytical and structured business professional with the ability to build and manage relationships with external stakeholders, and work proactively to strengthen our footprint in the region. In addition to this, we believe the right person has:


  • B.Sc in business, engineering or similar.
  • Professional fluency in German and English.
  • 3–5+ years of experience in policy, government account management, operations or strategy, as a consultant or in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven experience managing and negotiating with external stakeholders, e.g. public sector stakeholders.
  • Experience managing cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholder needs.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to quickly adapt messaging to different audiences.
  • Experience working with P&Ls and performance metrics, and ability to analyse large data sets, business cases, and budgets using Excel.
