YOUR MISSION AT VOI

As the General Manager you report to the Regional General Manager - DACH & Southern Europe and hold full accountability for the performance of the German market. In this role you will manage the local Market Development, Operations Strategy, and Fleet Management teams, and work closely with the regional Public Policy team to ensure seamless collaboration, and alignment with Voi’s strategic goals and mission to secure the continued success of our operations in Germany. This will include:


  • Owning the market development plan, including executing initiatives to improve local regulations and unlock new cities.
  • Representing Voi publicly, advocating for the local market’s needs and ensuring these are integrated into global roadmaps and strategies.
  • Overseeing effective cross-functional collaboration between Market Development, Operations Strategy, Fleet Management, and the Public Policy team, and alignment with Voi’s strategic goals and mission.
  • Full Profit & Loss responsibility for the market, managing budgets, staff, and resources.
  • Developing and implementing business plans, monthly, quarterly, and annual targets, and long-term strategies, and communicating them to the broader organisation and executive team.
  • Maintaining a future-focused approach by continuously analysing market trends and external factors, structuring work and strategy accordingly.
  • Managing and developing high-performing teams, driving workforce and succession planning, ensuring compliance with health & safety standards, and fostering a culture of trust, ownership, and continuous learning.
  • Proactively identifying and recruiting top talent, coaching and developing future leaders, and setting clear mandates to empower individuals and teams.
  • Taking an active role in shaping and communicating global strategy, driving a strong company culture across Germany, and ensuring alignment with Voi’s mission and values.


WHAT YOU NEED TO EMBARK

We are seeking an analytical, customer-centric, and strategic leader with a proven ability to manage multi-layered, diverse organisations end-to-end. You thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and are passionate about building teams and delivering results. To succeed in this role, you will have:


  • Professional fluency in English and German.
  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • 10+ years of proven experience in business management, operations, strategy, or similar fields.
  • Experience managing and developing diverse teams (including both warehouse and office staff), with a focus on team development and empowerment.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong ability to manage, collaborate with, and nurture relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
  • The capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously, adapt quickly to change, and execute tasks efficiently.
