Required:

  • Experience in PLC programming, preferably Schneider Electric platforms (11+ years)
  • Experience with Modbus, DNP3, and industrial communication protocols
  • Experience with Ignition SCADA platform and HMI development
  • Experience with power systems and utility‑scale energy projects
  • Experience in utility‑scale renewable energy or power generation projects
  • Experience with BESS control systems, inverters, and energy storage technologies
  • Experience with grid interconnection requirements and utility standards
  • Experience with FAT/SAT testing procedures and commissioning protocols
  • Experience with PPA, LGIA, and OEM testing completion
  • Ability to travel up to 25% for project commissioning support

Responsibilities:

  • Design, program, and troubleshoot PLC systems, primarily using Schneider Electric platforms, to support utility‑scale renewable energy and power generation projects
  • Develop and integrate control systems using industrial communication protocols such as Modbus and DNP3, ensuring reliable data exchange across power system components
  • Configure and maintain Ignition SCADA systems and HMI applications to provide real‑time monitoring, control, and visualization of plant operations
  • Support BESS control systems, inverters, and energy storage technologies, ensuring proper integration with plant‑level and grid‑level controls
  • Ensure compliance with grid interconnection requirements, utility standards, PPAs, LGIAs, and OEM testing requirements throughout project development and commissioning
  • Lead and support FAT/SAT testing procedures and commissioning protocols, including on‑site travel (up to 25%) to validate system performance and operational readiness
  • Collaborate with engineering, cybersecurity, and project teams to implement secure and reliable control architectures, including adherence to NERC CIP standards when applicable

19016 – HMI (Ignition) Developer (Remote)

Required:

  • Experience with Inductive Automation Ignition platform (3+ years)
  • Experience in Ignition Vision and/or Perspective modules
  • Experience with Python scripting skills for Ignition applications
  • Experience with SQL databases (MySQL, SQL Server, PostgreSQL)
  • Experience with industrial communication protocols (Modbus, OPC‑UA, DNP3)

Preferred:

  • Experience with power system operations, SCADA, and EMS applications (SE, CA, OPF)
  • Experience with ICCP/TASE.2, RTU protocols
  • Experience with cybersecurity practices and compliance frameworks (e.g., NERC CIP)
  • Experience with automation protocols (Modbus, DNP3, CAN, OPC, EtherNet/IP and others)
  • Experience with battery energy storage systems, inverters, and power electronics
  • Experience with version control systems (Git) and documentation tools
  • Experience with electrical systems, P&IDs, and control logic
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or related technical field
  • Ignition certifications (Gold or Platinum level preferred)
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds frequently on a daily basis
  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle for purposes of commuting between 2 working locations
  • Ability to travel as required

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement PLC‑based control systems for renewable energy projects including PV and BESS
  • Program PLCs using function blocks, structured text, and ladder logic for project‑specific control strategies
  • Configure and maintain SCADA systems for monitoring and controlling PV and BESS installations
  • Develop and test HMI interfaces using the Ignition platform
  • Develop control narratives, OM manuals, and Functional Requirement Documents (FRDs) for assigned projects
  • Conduct Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and support issue resolution before deployment
  • Support commissioning and startup activities, troubleshoot issues, and update documentation for new and modified systems

18992 – Controls Engineer – PLC/SCADA (Onsite) – Juno Beach, FL

Required:

  • Availability to work 100% of the time at the Client’s site in Juno Beach, FL
  • Experience with PLC programming and industrial control systems (1–3 years)
  • Experience with programming using function blocks, structured text, and ladder logic
  • Experience with industrial communication protocols (Modbus, DNP3, OPC, etc.)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related technical field

Preferred:

  • Experience with Schneider M340 or M580 PLCs
  • Experience with Ignition HMI platform development and testing
  • Experience with renewable energy systems, particularly solar PV and battery energy storage systems
  • Experience with electrical power systems and instrumentation
  • Experience with full project lifecycle from design through commissioning for control systems projects
  • Experience with industry standards and best practices for industrial control and SCADA systems

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, program, and troubleshoot PLC‑based industrial control systems using ladder logic, structured text, and function block programming
  • Configure and integrate industrial communication protocols such as Modbus, DNP3, and OPC to ensure reliable data exchange between field devices, PLCs, and SCADA systems
  • Design, develop, and test SCADA and HMI applications, including Ignition platform configurations, to support real‑time system monitoring and control
  • Support control system projects throughout the full lifecycle, from design and development through testing, commissioning, and operational handoff
  • Collaborate with engineering and field teams onsite in Juno Beach to implement control strategies for renewable energy systems, including solar PV and battery energy storage systems
  • Assist with system validation, troubleshooting, and performance optimization of electrical power systems, instrumentation, and automation components
  • Ensure control system implementations adhere to industry standards and best practices for industrial automation, safety, and SCADA system reliability
