Technical Advisor for Energy Transition
To support UNOPS' mission-led innovation in energy transition, the part-time Technical Advisor for Energy Transition will drive strategic partnerships, enhance visibility, and provide technical leadership while working remotely. Key responsibilities Serve as the principal focal point and thought leader for energy transition, enhancing UNOPS visibility and positioning Develop and disseminate mission-aligned materials and provide technical expertise in high-level discussions with partners Integrate mission-driven knowledge and innovation into UNOPS policy and service delivery, fostering collaboration and learning Required qualifications Bachelor's degree in energy policy, renewable energy engineering, climate change, or related fields with 9 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 7 years of experience Demonstrated experience providing technical advisory support on energy transition, including social and economic dimensions Strong expertise in renewable energy, energy efficiency, and energy policy Experience in conducting foresight and trend analysis in the energy sector Fluent in English; proficiency in additional languages such as French, Spanish, or Arabic is desirable
