We are looking for a Production Technician who will be responsible for operating and troubleshooting of automation equipment and in support of assembling, testing, and inspecting battery modules, packs, and related energy storage components in accordance with engineering and quality standards. This role ensures safe, efficient, and high-quality production of energy storage systems that meet performance and reliability targets. The technician will work closely with engineering, quality, and maintenance teams to support continuous improvement and ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations. Assemble and test battery modules, packs, and electrical subassemblies following standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and technical drawings. Operate production automation equipment and provide basic troubleshooting capabilities to achieve target production rates safely and efficiently. Conduct in-process inspections, electrical tests, and data logging to ensure quality and traceability. Refill systems with piece components needed for manufacturing process (nuts, bolts, spacers, cell, casings etc...) Support troubleshooting of equipment or process issues in collaboration with engineers and maintenance staff. Troubleshoot, debug & resolve electrical or mechanical issues, document issues found for manufacturing/design improvements Follow all safety protocols, including those related to DC battery systems and robotic / automation equipment Participate in continuous improvement activities to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety (Lean, 5S, Kaizen). Assist with the commissioning and validation of new production equipment or processes. Crosstrain across production stations and support training of new team members. Associate degree in a technical field or technical certificate in manufacturing, electronics, mechatronics, or a related field preferred with 3 years’ experience Possess thorough knowledge of products and production processes, along with statistical control procedures, design, and testing procedures Strong computer skills required for unit commissioning, data tracking & quality tracking & updates Strong understanding of mechanical assembly, electrical connections, and test procedures. Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and engineering documentation. Basic understanding of electrical safety, ESD controls, LOTO, and handling of lithium-based components. Basic knowledge of PLC, HMI, Cameras and Robots Proficient with hand tools and test instruments (DMM, insulation tester) Willingness to work shifts, weekends, or overtime as required. Works well with others and independently with minimal supervision 23-$28 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience
