SCADA Engineer
Plant Engineering Operations is a part of Service NCE (Northern & Central Europe) and supports the organization in installation and service of a great number of SCADA systems controlling medium and large sized wind power plants. Our job is to turn a cluster of wind turbines into a power plant according to contractual and regional requirements. Our customers can mainly be found among larger power supply companies and professional investors.
As a SCADA Engineer you will be a part of a Grid and Control team responsible for commissioning and maintaining Vestas SCADA solutions and other automated functionalities in our power plants in compliance with Vestas standards and customer requirements. You ensure knowledge transfer and contribute to optimizing and improving our products. You will also support our growing business by providing technical advice and input to the overall strategy.
Responsibilities
As a SCADA Engineer you will be a part of a Grid and Control team responsible for commissioning and maintaining Vestas SCADA solutions and other automated functionalities in our power plants in compliance with Vestas standards and customer requirements. You ensure knowledge transfer and contribute to optimizing and improving our products. You will also support our growing business by providing technical advice and input to the overall strategy.
Your daily tasks will include:
- Configuration and commissioning of Vestas Power Plant Controls and SCADA servers
- Interface signal testing
- Participation in Site Acceptance Tests and Grid Code tests
- Operational support to our wind farms (service orders, technical support)
- Technical advice to our internal and external stakeholders
- Customer and 3rd party interaction
- Tackling technical documentation
Qualifications
- Experience as an automation engineer, particularly in the energy industry
- Relevant education within Automation, Electo-technical, Information Technology or similar background
- Experience in PLC programming and communication protocols (IEC101, IEC104, MODBUS, DNP, OPC)
- Industrial electricity and electronics knowledge
- Experience in commissioning and maintenance of server operating systems
- Valid Driver's License and ability to obtain a passport
- Good English skills, both verbal and written

Your will work from one of our offices in Vienna, Warsaw, Varna, Constanta, Dublin, Warrington, Malmo or Aarhus, however partially remote work can be considered.
