Construction is responsible to install, commission and finally handover wind farms to the client. Working close together with the client and other stakeholders is a key parameter to ensure this happens safely, efficiently and with a high-quality standard.
After handover between Sales and Construction the Project Managers ensures Wind Turbine Installation projects are planned and implemented within the scope of the contract, on time and within budget. Customer relationship management, quality control, safety and leadership towards the complete project team are key functions within this role.
As Project Director in the Construction Project Management you build and direct the hard-working team of one region in Eastern Europe. The team consists of Project Managers who are responsible for the erection projects within their portfolio.


Responsibilities

  • Functional and disciplinary leadership of the team incl. continuous development of expertise through contemporary leadership as well as
  • Performance measurement and management of team with defined KPIs, targets, regular reviews and definition of strategies/counter-measures
  • Budgeting, target setting and continuous forecasting of team results (in line with overall NCE regional Construction Revenue Budget)
  • Ensure world class Safety culture within their Project Management team
  • Overall responsibility for project execution within their portfolio - meaning revenue/result responsibility for the operational project management of the relevant region
  • Close collaboration and alignment with the Senior Director Construction in regards to all Project Management related activities
  • Acting as the Regional Focal Point for Sales, closely aligning with Construction Value Engineering
  • Representing Construction in local management team(s) in their region
  • Securing Customer Intimacy, resulting in increased Customer Satisfaction. The Project Director is the initial escalation level for issues from execution projects
  • Improvement projects within the Construction department
  • Liaising with Global Construction and implementing related initiatives in the Construction Department

Qualifications

  • Science or engineering degree or commercial apprenticeship with significant work experience
  • Background within project management of similar large-scale projects
  • Experience in the construction industry, wind would be beneficial
  • Experience in customer negotiations, claims management or other related commercial management
  • Proven leadership experience - able to guide and mentor a team of varying experience, empowering and developing them to achieve more
  • Fluent English and Polish
  • Solid commercial understanding with direct customer exposure

Additional Information
This role is located in Warsaw and will involve some travel across the region when required.
