The position as Purchaser in Indirect Material Procurement APAC team will cover CAPEX, MRO and Business service commodities within APAC region. And it will give you a great opportunity to develop your procurement profile and join a team of experienced strategic purchasers, commodity leads and specialists.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee purchasing indirect commodity i.e. business service, factory MRO and CAPEX for business and manufacturing operation of Vestas in APAC region
  • Manage the procurement related activities in the cross functional team and secure alignment with relevant stakeholders in relation to e.g., project planning, costing, and supplier risk and performance management
  • Supplier selection, qualification, negotiation and contracting and supplier relationship management, including supplier account plans, and performance management
  • Supplier consolidation to ensure supply chain optimization based on total landed cost, strategy and roadmap development with cross function team
  • Deliver the KPIs: EBIT, continuous cost out initiatives technically and commercially through the whole value chain, PPV etc

Qalifications

  • Qualified mechanical or machinery experience, such as heavy machinery, marine engineer, tool operator, car-, agricultural- or truck mechanics
  • Previous experience in Wind Energy
  • Ability to complete detailed component inspections and report on findings
  • Ability to demonstrate intermediate working knowledge of industrial safety practices / protocols (e.g. Confined Space, energy isolation)
  • Basic computer operation skills, familiarity with internet based program navigation, and ability to generate and interpret computer data
  • Valid Driver's License and ability to obtain a Passport

  • Demonstrated ability to see, explore and develop long-term business / functional perspective and strategy.
  • Lead the discussions with cross function team and direct negotiations/develop negotiation strategies with suppliers
  • Have the ability to interact with individuals, groups and target audiences including being able to effectively present, receive and understand information in a respectful and concise manner
  • Have stakeholder communication skills, as well as the ability to identify and involve business stakeholders and navigate through competing agendas
  • Negotiation skills
