We are looking for a Specialist – Finish & Paint Process Engineer to join our Blades Process Engineering team in Taranto.

In this role, you will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and optimizing the finish and painting processes of wind turbine blades. You will support standardization, process industrialization, and continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing sites, ensuring high-quality performance in Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC).


Responsibilities

  • Design, optimize, and standardize Finish & Paint processes.
  • Develop process requirements and specifications.
  • Analyze current (AS IS) and future state processes.
  • Create process roadmaps for present and future states.
  • Support process industrialization and optimization across manufacturing sites.
  • Investigate and solve production issues using structured problem-solving methods (5 Whys, Fishbone, FMEA).
  • Use digital tools such as digital twins and data analytics to drive performance.
  • Apply continuous improvement methodologies: SPC, Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen.
  • Contribute to a culture of excellence, innovation, and accountability.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Engineering or equivalent.
  • Green Belt in Six Sigma or Advanced Manufacturing Process Analysis.
  • Around 6 years of experience in process engineering, preferably in Finish & Paint or composite manufacturing.

Experience with:

  • Process requirements formulation
  • Manufacturing process specification
  • Process flow creation
  • High-level data analysis in a data-driven organization
  • Process optimization and standardization using Lean, SPC, Six Sigma, Kaizen

Competencies

  • Technical, analytical, and operational skills in composite materials and precision manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of paint systems, fiberglass, epoxy resins, and other materials used in blade manufacturing.
  • Expertise in Finish & Paint process design and optimization.
  • Proficiency in data-driven decision-making, structured problem solving, and SPC.
  • Experience applying continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and highly organized.
  • Able to build networks across large, multicultural organizations.
  • Active participant in cross-functional product development projects.
  • Customer-oriented with understanding of the full value chain.
  • Willingness to spend time on the factory floor to understand and solve issues.
  • Committed to continuous learning.
