Responsibility

As a Process Engineer at Vestas, you will play a key role in improving the manufacturing processes for wind turbine blades. If you do not have a deep knowledge within composite materials, you will have a high motivation to get it. You will concentrate on modern production process technologies with a commitment to standardization via process optimization to ensure process stability and capability to improve overall business performance; Safety Quality Delivery and Cost (SQDC).


Your main responsibilities:

  • Design and optimizing Logistic & Handling processes, within Logistic & Handling operations.
  • Analysis of AS IS and future state
  • Develop Process requirements and specifications
  • Develop and support manufacturing sites Process Industrialization and standardization
  • Implement and support Process Optimization in the manufacturing sites
  • Be part of building a culture of excellence, innovation, and responsibility
  • Use digital tools to improve performance and make data-driven decisions.
  • Investigating and solving production issues using structured methods such as the 5x Whys, Fishbone Diagrams, and FMEA.
  • Applying continuous improvement principles using quality tools like Lean and Kaizen to reduce waste, improve efficiency, and ensure final product quality.

Education:

  • University degree in Master of mechanical engineering, Bachlor or alike
  • GB Lean

Experience:

  • About 5 years of experience in similar roles as described above

  • Process Requirements formulation
  • Logistic & Handling process specification
  • Process flow creation
  • Data process analyses
  • Worked in a Lean and data driven organization.
  • Driven optimization and standardization within Logistic & Handling processes with use of the toolbox also mentioned above.

Core competences:

  • A blend of technical, analytical, and Logistic & Handling competencies tailored to composite materials, and continuous improvement.
  • Proficiency in Process Design & Optimization for Logistic & Handling of blades or big components, blades components and raw material.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making
  • Use of tools like 5 Whys, Fishbone diagrams
  • Use Kaizen methodologies to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
  • You are self-motivated; result-oriented and possess great organizational discipline
  • You find it exciting and interesting to work with other people in a large organization and can build up an intensive network across cultures and time zones and work with stakeholders
  • You can be an integral part of cross-functional product development projects
  • You are customer-oriented and can understand the complete business value chain seen from a customer perspective
  • You are interested and willing to spend time in the factory environment as required to understand and solve problems
  • You are committed to learning
