Welcome to our Technical Project Support

You will be part of our Technical Project Support team in Offshore Operations which comprises a team of highly motivated colleagues, supporting project execution of offshore wind turbines across the globe, with our focus being on the Asia Pacific region.


In addition to project execution, our team also supports the rest of Vestas' value chain with our knowledge of construction projects and consequently, many of our tasks also require cross-organisational collaboration.


Responsibilities

You will be working closely together with the Project Manager to ensure that projects run smoothly and are delivered on time, to budget and to the required safety and quality standards. You and the Project Manager will agree on which activities and sub-projects you will be involved in, e.g. communication and alignment with stakeholders, budgeting, risk and planning exercises and you will have the authority to act on their behalf when needed. The key words in this role are support, coordination, oversight, interfacing, tracking & control, risk identification, escalation, project requirements and priority focus.


Your tasks will include:

  • Support and assistance to the Project Manager in every aspect of planning, preparation and execution of the project throughout the entire project life cycle

  • Assignment of tasks to project team members or other internal stakeholders

  • Assessment and management of risks

  • Coordination of project deliverables incl. ensuring that deadlines are met

  • Updating internal and external stakeholders on progress


Qualifications

We expect that you have three to five years of experience in working with large-scale projects combined with a relevant degree within engineering, project management or similar. You have a good product understanding and awareness as well as risk management competencies and commercial insight. As a person, you can keep the overview of large-scale projects, and it is key that you have great interpersonal skills enabling you to handle customers and internal stakeholders in a professional manner.
