Welcome to our Project Planning & Coordination Team
You will be part of our Project Planning & Coordination team in Offshore Construction which comprises a team of highly motivated colleagues, supporting project execution of offshore wind turbines across the globe, with our main focus being on the Asia Pacific region.
In addition to project execution, our team also supports the rest of Vestas' value chain with our knowledge of construction projects and consequently, many of our tasks also require cross-organisational collaboration.
Responsibilities
The Demand Planner is responsible for aligning materials and tools demand for the regional offshore project portfolio. Thus, the Demand Planner is responsible for ensuring the demand plan for the MSI site packs, Site BOM material and main tools are also aligned with the pre-assembly programmes.
The deliveries to site should be aligned with relevant stakeholders, e.g. Transport, Technical, Sourcing, Project team, etc.
The demand plan should always consider all regional offshore projects in the master plan with portfolio view which will include short-term demand as well as long-term forecasts, and communicate it to relevant stakeholders.
The Demand Planner updates the demand plan based on input from the Master Plan received from master planning.
The Demand Planner must participate in Category Management Team, PMO Purchaser Team, Tools Management Team for your area of responsibility, and may require to consult the relevant teams for BOM development.
Continuous development and optimization of the tools and process used for demand planning and forecasting.
Demand Planning of MSI site pack, Site BOM materials and tools, including ensuring right demand and supply for projects.
Supporting and aligning pre-installation tools plan
Issuing and handling inquiries for major tools between projects
Monitorig and controlling site pack and site-BOM material procurement and delivery status
Coordinating with main tools in-and-out management in projects.
Create new projects in ERP system
Create and maintain configuration in ERP system
Support Warehouse team for nacelle and tower kits planning and material readiness
Provide long-term forecast and communicate it to stakeholders
Qualifications
We expect that you have at least two years of experience from a similar position working with larger construction projects. You have good product understanding and awareness as well as contractual and commercial understanding. As a person, you are dependable, systematic and pay attention to details, and it is important that you have good interpersonal skills and thrive in a role with many stakeholders. It is important that you have good presentation and communication skills.
Competencies
Relevant education preferably within logistics and supply chain management
At least 2 years' experience in similar position
Planning skills
Sufficient knowledge of ERP system, preferably SAP
Super user of MS Excel
Knowledge of project planning
