APAC regional Quality is responsible for developing Quality agenda across the value chain including manufacturing, procurement, construction, service and engineering. Accountable to ensure Quality performance, culture, training, certification audits, supplier and parts qualification, NC handling and continuous improvements etc. Offshore Quality is the primary focus area in the region considering growth potential.


Responsibilities

  • To ensure quality of our Products that meets the contractual agreement made with the Customer, while adhering to internal Vestas processes. you are involved in the local steerco from the contract stage to final implementation of Service Quality standards by having representees from all vertical functions.

  • The Offshore Quality Specialist/ Black belt communicates with relevant stakeholders regarding the quality status and interfaces with all affected functions across Vestas value chain, sub-contractors, suppliers etc. S/he must build bridges between stakeholders and should be ready for potential intervention or facilitation of conflict resolution situations if necessary, regarding Quality.

  • The Offshore Quality Specialist/ Blackbelt is the single point of contact for the Customer on all Quality related issues, and you are responsible for ensuring Customer's trust in the Product. S/he should be ready to step in any disputes with the Customer and bring these to a Regional Quality board for attention and support

  • The Offshore Quality Specialist/Black belt is responsible for effective Quality Management (Quality Assurance and Quality Control) by managing quality risks/opportunities in manufacturing, supplier quality, construction and service by ensuring that all quality related deliverables are ready on time and adhere to agreed standards, as outlined in Quality Control Plans, PQP and SQPs

  • This position will report directly to Regional Quality Head and part of Regional Quality board/ Management team together with all other Quality heads such as manufacturing, SQD, Construction, service, VPS and sales.


Qualifications

  • Engineering or Technical background, preferably from the wind industry or mechanical/electrical and technical understanding of a WTG

  • Experience with project management methodology, frameworks and tools

  • Six sigma Black Belt with 3-5 years' experience on supplier management areas

  • Exposure in Strategic supplier qualification, development.

  • Working experience in Commodity and module team, project team etc.

  • Good knowledge of quality methodologies, tools (APQP/PPAP, problem solving methods, 8D and Six Sigma)

  • Good understanding of ISO14001, ISO45001 and ISO 9001

  • Experience in non-conformance handling with internal and external Suppliers/Customers

  • Auditor training ISO 9001

  • Good understanding of the company's Value Chain

  • Completed GWO courses (According to offshore standards)

  • Fluent in English (verbally and in writing)

  • Good MS Office skills and great knowledge of MS Project/Primavera

  • Great exposure to Local Korea supply chain

  • PMP certified / preferred

  • Result and quality oriented, bringing tasks to their closure

  • Good in planning and schedule management

  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a complex, changing environment

  • Good organizational skills

  • Attention to detail while maintaining a high- level overview

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment where work requires collaboration and interdependence on others, often in an intercultural context

  • Proactive and able to work individually

  • Motivated and self-motivated

  • Good communication skills: written, verbal, reporting, presentation to large and small groups
