Senior Project Manager
Responsibilities
Typical responsibilities may include but not limited to:
Oversee and develop the project organization to meet overall business goal whilst engaging the team in continuous improvement
Responsible for regional budget and finance including revenue, cash and P&L
Responsible for safety of all operation within the region and implement and adhere to the Vestas management systems including the project management, HSE and quality standards
Responsible for the day-to-day communication and alignment both internal and external stakeholders
Select, evaluate, coach/train and retain team members within the region
Ensure effective project planning and control as well as perform risk management to minimize project risks
Monitor project progress, budget and performance on a continuous basis
Responsible for organising the work of sub-contractors, allocating and utilizing resources in an efficient manner and maintaining a co-operative and effective team
Report, communicate and escalate to VP or Steering Group as needed and ensure comprehensive project documentation is created and maintained
Qualifications
Bachelor's or master's degree in civil, construction, mechanical, electrical, wind energy engineering or related field
10 or more years of relevant project management experience in construction or similar industry
Experience in offshore wind project management is desirable
PMP, IPMA or Prince2 certification or equivalent education/qualification
Skilled familiarity with power generation language and key terminology
Experience in working effectively with work groups across a global organization
Familiar w/ Microsoft office (teams, words, powerpoint, etc.)
Solid English communications skills (verbal, active listening, written, meeting management, presentation)
Competencies
Great interpersonal skills and ability to coach, motivate and direct people
Intercultural awareness and skills to supervise and align intercultural teams
Ability to handle tense or conflict situations with a diplomatic approach
Customer focused and solution-oriented
Solid ability to overview the financial aspects of projects and act on deviations
Open-minded and good at sharing and gathering information within a team
