Supplier Account Management, Negotiations, cost out initiatives, Category Strategy Development and Implementation are key areas. Handling costs, supplier performances, localization projects and new product development projects are our major focus areas.
Responsibilities
As a Purchaser you will be amongst a creative procurement team and be responsible for wind turbine components for the Vestas Service Business unit. Your exposure and visibility are high, and the role offers the opportunity to both contribute to the strategic agenda as well as gaining experience in daily high-impact operational decisions. You will be reporting to the Head of Service Material Procurement APAC.
Responsibilities include and not limited to
Participate in strategy and roadmap development
Drive and develop cross-functional projects within your commodity
Secure service requirements are an integral part of Category Teams within Vestas, leverage scale, secure supply at right price and quality, and compliant with Vestas's policies
Find new sources, Lead on annual Negotiations, Supply base and supply chain optimization
Take full responsibility to develop and coordinate optimization projects in Repair and Turbine Components.
Secure and implement Procurement processes related to suppliers, not limited to Risk Assessment, Supplier Relationship Management and Supplier Account Plans
Actively complete and collaborate with all functions
Work closely with the Matrix organization on the Strategy Execution
Qualifications
An engineering degree or masters in a supply chain
At least 3-5 years of proven experience with heavy engineering or Auto/ Auto ancillaries
High-level experience with stakeholder management
You are a skilled IT user (SAP, SAP ARIBA and Microsoft Office)
As our corporate language is English, fluency in English is needed, both verbally and in writing
