Transport and Customs Professional

The general purpose is to oversee and coordinate customs and transport procedures of wind turbines and their components within wind sites in Brazil and other countries in LATAM.


Responsibilities:

Full coordination with Transport team of all Service deliveries attending the sites demands, mainly domestic deliveries / local transportation

  • Support in the creation and control of transport budgets/forecast/spend reporting risks & opportunities
  • Work in order to Optimize and Reduce overall logistics and customs costs
  • Close cooperation in the transport team improving the operation in the region and meet the KPIs from transport department
  • Provide guidance, assistance, advice and reports to the internal clients supporting their operations
  • Coordinate with all involved stakeholders to ensure shipments are properly on track and reported
  • Ensure customs and tax compliance having full contact with the different Brokers, Freight Forwarders and Transport Companies
  • Ensure that all LSP are instructed and following safety procedures in all operations
  • Plan and coordinate reverse logistic of transport equipment returning to the factories
  • Investigate and support problem-solving of delivery and transport quality issue/improvement
  • Supplier Performance Management of service providers
  • Extract reports and update KPI's
  • Audit invoices / control payments of nominated service providers
  • Cross functional collaboration with proactively approach with stakeholders as Supply Chain, Service, Procurement, Finance
  • Prepare reports, schedules and analysis that may be required by the Regional/Global Transport, Supply Chain, Quality, Finance teams

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Logístic, Business or International Studies/Foreing Trade preferred.
  • Experience with Transport/Logistics on the region.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of logistics/transport operations and practices, in-depth knowledge and hands-on execution on Customs Clearance mainly in Brazil.
  • Computer skills including proficiency in MS mainly Excel; Power BI/data analysis is an advanced.
  • Advance English language skills, written and spoken.
  • Solid knowledge of Transportation technical requirements and truck safety procedures (over-size nor heavy lift transport experience is highly value).
  • Knowledge of SAP
