We are a diverse and creative team of focused purchasing colleagues covering Vestas' MED. MED Regional Procurement Organization (RPO) is responsible for managing MED (Southern Europe, Africa, and ME) Vestas' spending with external suppliers. With a matrix organization, with global and regional roles, the RPO ensures the deployment of common strategies and processes with the same overall goals across all Vestas regions. You will report to the Head of MED Service and Indirect Procurement, the full team is working cross-functionally and is responsible for managing all Procurement activities related to Service & Indirect business.


Responsibilities

We are looking for a Tools and MRO Specialist. This person will define and implement, together with direct reports and the global team MED category strategy which Tools and Factory MRO materials.

Your responsibilities will cover:

  • Develop and implement tools and Factory MRO materials procurement strategy in the MED region in alignment with the Service Strategy
  • Drive tools localization projects across the MED region
  • Build local supply market intelligence
  • Secure that cost reduction targets are achieved through cost-out projects
  • Participate in Global Category Management Team(s) working cross-functionally
  • Lead Supplier relationship and performance management
  • Perform continuous stakeholder management

Qualifications

  • We are looking for an innovative procurement professional, ideally with a previous experience in a similar category
  • A bachelor/diploma or Master's degree in the field of (or related to) Supply Chain Management (either Business or Engineering) is required
  • Experience of 4 years in Procurement
  • Highly proficient in English, written and verbal, and ideally Spanish and Italian. Other languages will be highly valued (Portuguese, French...)

  • Good interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, especially in terms of Leadership and Team Management
  • Having a 'can do' approach and positive attitude towards the problems you will face
  • Structured person with analytical and negotiation skills
  • Cross-cultural skills (will work as part of an international team)
  • Team working competencies within a Matrix organization as well as Independent, pragmatic, and solution-oriented working style
  • Ability to prioritize in a time-sensitive situation
