You will be part of the Product Team responsible for the High-Performance Computer platforms in Vestas. Our team develops and implements strategies, creates roadmaps, and builds platforms within our product structure through a business-oriented approach, ensuring we can accelerate our internal HPC users.

As an HPC Engineer in our Product Team, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on our HPC users by enhancing their computational experience. In the HPC Experience Product Team, we aim to enable our HPC users to concentrate on their core computational tasks while we maintain and evolve the HPC Platform to an enterprise-grade delivery across the full value chain.


Responsibilities

In your position as an HPC Engineer, your primary responsibilities will be to:

  • Work with our HPC Tooling Framework covering the whole HPC Toolchain, including Plan, Code, Build, Test, Deploy, and Observe.
  • Develop services that provide the best possible HPC Experience for our users
  • Act as a Consultant/Advisor to various HPC users across our organization.
  • Act as a Consultant within our own department, actively supporting other Product and HPC Teams in their computational journey, e.g., through training and taking on development/automation tasks within these products.
  • Collaborate with our Product Owner to ensure that our platforms meet our business needs and goals.
  • Contribute to the overall governance on the effective use of our tooling.
  • Contribute to the platform roadmap and enhance capabilities within the HPC area.
  • Provide feedback regarding development or engineering methodologies, standards, and leading practices.
  • Maintain and spread the HPC culture and best practices across the organization.

Qualifications

You might have:

  • High:
  • Tactical approach to troubleshooting
  • Proven end-to-end experience in software development (e.g. planning, execution and documentation)
  • Bash and Python.
  • Azure Cycle Cloud / Slurm
  • Basic Azure Competency (VM, VMSS, load balancers...)
  • IaC / automation (bicep and/or terraform and/or Ansible)
  • Programming background
  • Working in an international organization with respect for differing cultures
  • High Performance Computer technologies

  • Medium:
  • LUSTRE / InfiniBand
  • Experience working with at least one of the big 3 Cloud providers

  • Lower:
  • Advantageous: simulation experience
  • Azure API experience
