This role is under the Purchasing & SQD team which collaborates closely with the Global and Regional Procurement organizations on purchasing activities (i.e. source-to-contract activities, spend management, and supplier negotiation) and supplier & quality development (SQD).

Responsibilities

  • You shall be accountable for the execution of the end-to-end purchasing process, or some parts thereof, which covers requirement definition, supplier selection, negotiation, contracting, and all other relevant steps within the full process. You may be responsible for the category or spend management of selected commodities within Global or Regional Procurement

  • Conduct sourcing activities (RFx) with agreed vendors and negotiate to reach the best possible outcome for Vestas

  • Participate or support in the selection, qualification, negotiation, and contracting with suppliers within the category

  • Drive tenders or assist in the development of supply agreements such as non-disclosure agreements, purchasing agreements, framework agreements, etc

  • Optimize the current supply base, including cost by doing cost-outs or savings initiatives

  • Implement risk assessments of suppliers, using the standard risk tools

  • Ensure relevant master data maintenance is provided - secure that missing master data is enriched (info records, source lists, quota arrangements, and vendor master). This may also include the collation of documents such as Safety Data Sheets, CE declaration of conformity certificates, etc

  • Worked across different business units within Vestas and provided input to and implementation of the category/regional procurement strategies

  • Facilitate continuous improvement programs both internally and at the suppliers with a particular focus on cost-saving initiatives, supplier optimization, and component standardization

  • Ensure adherence to KPIs set by Global Sourcing regarding safety, quality, cost, delivery, innovation, and sustainability. May perform deep-dive analysis to ensure improvement on the KPIs

  • Perform data analysis on tenders and spend visibility and other relevant procurement analytics activities


Qualifications

  • Typically an Engineering graduate or a relevant business degree

  • 6+ years of experience in Supply Chain and Procurement functions

  • Experience with selection, qualification, negotiation, and contracting with suppliers for instance

  • Hands-on experience in contract negotiation is highly preferred

  • High experience in negotiating with global suppliers is highly preferred

  • Experience in SAP or Ariba P2P process for instance

  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)

  • Great English written and verbal communication skills and ability to speak with conviction

  • Highly self-motivated, positive work ethic, keen attention to detail, and exceptional customer service orientation

  • Expert stakeholder management and efficient communication skills at all levels

  • Can work with limited supervision and responsibility for your tasks
