Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a team of data analysts, providing guidance and overall direction on their key activities and deliverables toward Global Procurement teams

  • Oversee all Procurement Analytics operations to correct discrepancies, improve processes, and ensure quality

  • Develop strategies for effective data analysis and optimized reporting

  • Implement tools and solutions for the team to translate raw data into actionable business insights

  • Understand the business needs of Procurement and of Vestas, and how analytics can be used to enable the organization to achieve specific targets

  • Apply industry knowledge to interpret data and improve performance

  • Ability to follow up and secure corrections once KPIs are not met - can support actions from the Procurement teams using data as the foundation.

  • Drive for continuous improvements by improving the current state, optimizing processes, and utilizing the capabilities to secure high-quality standards for procurement operations

  • Keep abreast of industry news and trends in data science and analytics


Qualifications

  • Relevant business, engineering, or computer science degree

  • With at least 10 years of experience in Supply Chain and Procurement functions

  • With at least 5 years of experience in data analysis and reporting

  • With at least 2 years in a supervisory or team lead role

  • Experience in market research and project management is highly preferred

  • Ability to teach the data analysts in the team and continuously work on their professional development as analysts

  • Typically experience with SAP ERP (MM), SAP BI, SAP Query Designer, SAP Analytics Cloud, or similar

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (especially Excel incl. VBA, Word, Powerpoint, Outlook, and Visio)

  • Excellent analytical skills including the ability to assess and interpret complex information from numerous sources, ensure said information is accurate, prepare and present analysis and reports, deal with risks creatively, and achieve business-focused solutions

  • Enhanced organizational skills and experience in working in a high volume and demanding professional environment with a capacity to delegate tasks and ensure work is completed on schedule.

  • Good English written and verbal communication skills and ability to speak with conviction

  • Skilled in stakeholder management and with innovative communication skills at all levels

  • Independent and can work with minimal supervision
