Cyber Security Analyst II

Responsibilities
- Train, coach, mentor, and groom Tier 1 analysts in the SOC
- Update and improve the Security Operations playbooks used in the SOC
- Continuously work to baseline the SIEM platform, update correlation rules and watchlists to improve detection efficiency
- Implement support for new data sources, build and modify parsing rules, and verify data collection and retention work as intended
- Manage incident response process, incl. engagement with service- and process owners, management and impacted users during the incident response phase
- Perform lessons learned following the incident closure activity
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in IT or a related technical area
- Fluent in English, oral and written
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
- A deep passion for cybersecurity
- Minimum of 3 years' experience working with Security Operations
- Firsthand experience with some of the below technologies:
- Sentinel (SIEM) platform
- McAfee EDR/Active Response
- Elasticsearch, Logstash & Kibana (ELK)
- Malware Intelligence Sharing Platform (MISP)
- Tenable or OpenVAS Microsoft Vulnerability Management
- ServiceNow Security Operations (Security Incident Management & Vulnerability Management modules)
- Windows and Linux operating systems
- Microsoft Office 365/Azure Protection services
- Computer networking, firewalls, and routing
- Python, PowerShell, and KQL scripting languages
