The department creatively identifies and mitigates risks to financial reporting. The team's procedures are to have internal processes and controls in place, ensure mitigation of financial and operational risks, facilitate and support suitable audit engagements, and create awareness and understanding of finance processes and controls.


SSC > Finance SSC > Compliance & Operational Control


Responsibilities

  • Define compliance agenda, projects, and initiatives both by SSC and group finance

  • Define targets and measure, monitor, & assess process performance

  • Supervise operational capacity, schedule, and work assignment of the team

  • Creates mgt. reports and communicates results to and handle stakeholders

  • Identify and implement initiatives to lower the cost and improve productivity

  • Define targets and measure individual performance

  • Provide guidance and support to individual members of the team

  • Supervise directly and discuss people’s performance and behavior

  • Direct and organize people to prepare for 'growing the scope'

  • Identify and develop training curriculum for the team and for employees

  • Provide guidance, advisory support, and recommendations on matters relating to governance, risk, and compliance

  • Review, motivate and recommend processes, systems policies, guidelines, and procedures

  • Engage business stakeholders, provide or seek request appropriate support as needed, share inputs and suggestions with stakeholders


Qualifications

  • At least a Bachelor of Science degree graduate

  • For instance, CPA, CIA, or similar certifications

  • Accounting/finance background

  • More than 4 years of experience in risk/audit/compliance

  • Held a position developing or supervising a team of at least 8 people

  • For instance, knowledge of SAP and experience in implementing system-based or automated controls

  • With international experience or has worked for a multinational/global company

  • For instance, has a Shared Service background

  • Innovative leadership and stakeholder management, able to supervise and handle projects

  • Highly inquisitive, detail-oriented, and organized

  • Innovative process design orientation, a skilled ability to identify risk exposures, and a keen ability to identify risk prevention and risk mitigating solutions

  • Capable of dealing with highly personal, confidential information and possess an unquestionable sense of integrity

  • Good interpersonal skills to be able to work as part of a cross-functional team, both local and regional
