Accountant

The team is under the Global Finance of Vestas Shared Services Centre.
As part of Vestas Global Finance Shared Service Centre, the team is primarily responsible for providing standardized, rule-based services to the region. This refers to the end-to-end processes of fixed assets. The group is expected to have close collaboration with Regional Finance, Payroll &Treasury Department as well as with the other functions in SSC such as AP/AR/TE & Controlling and Reporting.

Responsibilities

• Participate in further improvement and optimisation of end-to-end Fixed Asset Accounting processes and procedures in Finance and Accounting (Investment order creation, Capitalization, Settlements, Depreciation & Asset Rollforward)

• Implement the relevant finance processing of Fixed Assets fully in accordance with the defined and agreed Vestas Standard Operating Procedures and in accordance with Vestas Financial Guidelines.

• Proactively engage and collaborate with relevant colleagues (i.e., AP/ AR/TE, Controlling and Reporting) and business stakeholders (i.e., Regional Finance, Payroll & Treasury), in order to solve operational issues and problems with speed and quality.

• Prepare and submit SOX control documentation timely and accurately

• Consistently follow up on pending items/issues

• Prepare deck and participate in MOR calls

• Support internal/external audits on handled and back-up

• Provide backup support if needed

• Participate in process improvements, and UAT for projects, NM, SPVs, etc.

• Performs Adhoc tasks as necessary.

  
  

Qualifications

• Graduate of BS Accountancy

• With a significant background in Fixed assets, General Ledger functions, Reporting or Controlling

• With at least 1.5 to 4 years of working experience in the same field

• With BPO or Shared Service experience

  
  

Competencies

• Preferably but not required white belt trained or with knowledge in process improvement methodologies

• Preferably with certifications (i.e. CPA, CMA, CIA etc.) but not required

• With good communication skills

• Problem solving-oriented

• Amenable and willing to work on holidays as needed and, on any shift, as maybe assigned. Willing to travel.

• With positive behavior and attitude. Can blend well with different kinds of personalities.

• Demonstrates a positive ability to handle one's own time and prioritize tasks when given clearly defined goals and outcomes

• Independent and can work with minimal supervision.

• With knowledge of using ERP systems
