Responsibilities:
  • Read production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed
  • Convey materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas
  • Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code
  • Fill requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributes items to production workers or assembly line
  • Assemble customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves; convey orders to packing station or shipping department
  • Mark materials with identifying information
  • Open bales, crates, and other containers
  • Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed
  • Weigh or count items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards
  • Arrange stock parts in specified sequence for assembly by other workers
  • Use computer to enter records
  • Compile worksheets or tickets from customer specifications
  • Drive vehicle to transport stored items from warehouse to plant or to pick up items from several locations for shipment
  • Complete requisition forms to order supplies from other plant departments
  • Prepare parcels for mailing
  • Maintain inventory records
  • Safely expedite the transport of hazardous materials and waste, from accumulation sites, to 90-day storage, within strict regulation requirements
  • Inspect, weigh, load, document, transport of hazardous materials and waste through shipping and receiving documents, bill of lading, and manifests
  • Comply with state and federal regulations for handling, storage, disposal, transport etc. of hazardous materials and waste
  • And all other duties as assigned

Essential Functions:
  • System skills – Microsoft Office, ERP / MRP systems, SAP, and Apriso
  • Must be able to see and hear alarms, timers and follow verbal instructions
  • Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions
  • Ability to lift 70 pounds
  • Ability to climb ladders
  • Must be able to wear the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for the duration of the task
  • Regular & reliable attendance

Education, Training, and Skills Required:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); on the job / other related experience equivalent preferable
  • 1 – 3 years of experience/training or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required
  • Systems skills – Microsoft Office, ERP/MRP systems, SAP and Apriso
  • Ability to create a safe work area
  • Strong natural ability to work in teams
  • Good skills driving equipment (as required)
  • Good sense for details
  • High degree of adaptability & flexibility
  • Strong desire to learn new skills and knowledge and utilize information systems
  • Excellent work ethic, dependability and dedication to Team/Company
  • Personal desire/value to do quality work
