At Vestas Lindø factory we are both manufacturing our mature offshore products and at the same we are the prototype facility where we develop and mature our new offshore products before implementing these globally. You will be part of the HSE team at Lindø located in Munkebo, working on critical and valued activities to make sure that we follow the Vestas standard of “Safety First”.


Responsibilities

As the Project HSE Specialist, you will provide HSE support to the project team throughout the Planning, Design and Execution stages of the project. Your task will be to secure execution of our Health Safety and Environment procedures ensuring these are an integral part of the project activities and deliveries. To do this you will be hands on in our prototype production area collaborating with key stakeholders from the across the organisation.

Your task will be to work with the Project HSE workstream lead, Project Manager, and the local project team to find the optimal solutions and secure the project HSE deliveries are delivered on time and at the right quality including:

  • You will ensure project activities and deliveries are compliant to HSE legislation considering variations in multiple countries
  • Participate in design reviews ensuring HSE compliant designs
  • Perform risk assessments of production concepts and processes to identify and document needed operational controls
  • Develop lifting instructions for our crane operations and PPE instructions
  • Support tooling team in specifying and assessing new tools in relation to HSE
  • Establish processes, instructions, and communicate these withing the project
  • Support and advise the project team on HSE matters to support fact-based decisions

Qualifications

  • A master’s or bachelor’s degree in engineering
  • Several years of professional experience within HSE in an international work environment
  • Experience in Mechanical / Electrical / construction area is preffered
  • Knowledge of Risk Assessment practices and implementation of appropriate control processes
  • Good understanding withing lifting and rigging and machinery safety
  • Great IT skills, especially Microsoft Office applications, and the ability to quickly understand new systems and applications, SAP experience is advantageous
  • Experience from project based working environment

  • Engineering problem solving know how encompassing a wholistic view of HSE both in feasibility, design, and construction

Your work location will be at our HSE department at Lindø, Denmark with the opportunity for flexible work at home arrangements on some days

This position has up to 30 days of travel per year
