Lean Supply Chain Specialist- Madrid or Others
Vestas' Global Service business was spun out as a separate business unit during 2014 due to the growing commercial and strategic significance of the service business. With our corporate strategy "Profitable Growth for Vestas" we have communicated specific, efficient growth targets for service in coming three years. To achieve such targets while keeping our cost base steady requires a fundamental shift in how we operate - commercially as well as operationally.
The Global Service Lean team is responsible for ensuring further our Service Business' continuous improvement and execution quality culture. We facilitate the process for Strategy Deployment, work on establishing global concepts, and implement breakthrough improvements based on world class methodologies such as Lean Supply Chain, Lean and Six Sigma
Responsibilities
You will be part of a team of Lean blackbelts in different geographical regions who will work constantly on increasing the Lean maturity of the Service business and implementing improvements to reduce operational costs. You will also engage with our Supply Chain and Repair organization to track the trends of our metrics towards market benchmarks. You will also work in your region towards stock turns increase, decrease in obsolescence development, Process Improvement and decrease of repair costs in the supply chain
The tasks you'll perform in your region will include:
- Perform periodically Lean maturity assessment in logistics areas and processes
- Develop Lean Transformation plans based on Lean maturity assessment
- Facilitate kaizen events to make improvements and process updates
- Reduce operational costs through VMP implementation,
- Facilitate and share Lean best practices across different regions and Repair facilities.
Qualifications
- An academic degree Bachelor level in Engineer
- Minimum 5 years of LEAN Supply Chain experience and track of completed project,
- Experience with LEAN Supply Chain in different environments (i.e. manufacturing and transactional.
- Either certification or certified experience or education in Lean Supply Chain and Logistics disciplines
- Adavance English level
Competencies
On the personal level it is very important that you possess influence and persuasiveness and have strong interpersonal skills. You got extensive experience with supply Chain, Logistics, Change management and implementation. You must also have experience implementing improvements based on Value Streams and being able to Communicate next steps towards future state in a way that our key stakeholders understand. Moreover, we expect following competencies:
- Comprehensive analytical, implementation and facilitation skills,
- Ability to create impact & connect with our workforce
- Able to follow up in different countries (or areas within a country),
- Superior written/verbal presentation and communication skills in English, plus the main language in the country/region you work with.

Additional Information
