Vestas' Global Service business was spun out as a separate business unit during 2014 due to the growing commercial and strategic significance of the service business. With our corporate strategy "Profitable Growth for Vestas" we have communicated specific, ambitious growth targets for service in coming three years. To achieve such targets while keeping our cost base steady requires a fundamental shift in how we operate - commercially as well as operationally.
The Global Service Lean team is responsible for driving further our Service Business' continuous improvement and execution excellence culture. We drive the process for Strategy Deployment, work on establishing global concepts, and execute breakthrough improvements based on world class methodologies such as Lean Supply Chain, Lean and Six Sigma.


Responsibilites

You will be part of a team of Lean and Six Sigma blackbelts in different geographical regions who will work constantly on increasing the Lean maturity of the Service business and executing improvements to reduce operational costs. In your role you will be the dedicated Lean Specialist for the Supply Chain and Repair organization in NCE where you will drive the Lean journey and continuous improvement initiatives. In this role, you are reporting to the Head of Service Lean NCE and one of your first focus areas will be the mapping and streamlining of Supply Chain processes.


Here’s what you’ll do:

  • Kaizen Events: Plan and coordinate kaizen events to identify process improvements. Your fresh perspective will ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Operational Skills: Translate findings into actionable projects. Whether it’s reducing operational costs or optimising inventory turnover, you’ll make a tangible impact.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Gain buy-in from stakeholders across the organisation. Your ability to build relationships will be critical to our growth.
  • Lean Transformation: Develop Lean Transformation plans based on maturity assessments. Your insights will shape our continuous improvement journey.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Facilitate best practice sharing across regions and facilities. Together, we’ll elevate our service delivery.

Qualifications

To excel in this role, you should have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree or higher, in a relevant field (Engineering, Business, or related)

  • A minimum of 5 years of LEAN experience with a previous experience with project delivery

  • Familiarity with LEAN principles across diverse environments (Supply Chain experience is advantageous)
