Heavy Lift & Site Engineering team in Vestas is responsible for the technical and marine operations of Offshore Installation Vessels and Service jack-ups for Main Component Exchanges in Northern Europe to support our offshore wind projects. You will become a part of the team with skilled and experienced subject-matter experts within the offshore installation and service logistics area.
Responsibilities
- Technical point of contact to Offshore Installation Vessel owners, knowing their vessels and collecting technical details
- Acquire knowledge of all the relevant companies including their vessels that could have potential for the execution of Vestas's projects
- Development of relationships with vessel companies and the key persons in the technical / operations area in collaboration with the Marine Commercial Manager
- Preparation of deck layout, loading arrangements, lifting plans and liaison with installation and service staff
- Participation in interface meetings with clients, vessel providers, MWS and other contractors to ensure that information and assignments are exchanged between parties and distributed and carried out within Vestas
- Assisting Sales, Construction and Service functions to select vessels for installation and service assignments
- Be updated on vessels, crane requirements, transportation of WTG components, capability, sizes, new constructions, developments etc
Qualifications
- +5 years of relevant experience. For example with offshore renewables or O&G construction. An engineering degree (mechanical/civil/marine) is desirable.
- Good project management skills
- Good contractual and commercial understanding
- Extensive experience in Heavy Lift and Transport
- Extensive understanding regarding operational risks and business impacts
- Good understanding to validate new products and concepts
- Experience with preparation of specifications, budgets and contracts

Additional information
Primary Location: De, Hamburg or Dk, Aarhus.
You will be required to travel around 30 days per year
