Blade Engineering NCE is a department focused on providing technical support for sales and service in North and Central Europe (NCE). The department supports all three pillars of Vestas service: onshore, offshore, and multibrand (3rd party turbines).

Responsibilities

Technical support (60%):

  • Severity assessment of blade damages and mitigation actions to ensure safe and efficient operation of the blades under service in Vestas.
  • Technical support to service sales and the service contract managers (including direct customer support).
  • On-site assessment of blade damages and reporting of these internally and externally.
  • Collaboration with continuous improvement teams and serious incident management to develop mitigation plans and repair methods.
  • Co-development of new service solutions.

Department process support and documentation (20%):

  • Review of documentation packages for new products and solutions.
  • Product audits with internal and external suppliers.
  • Support internally in the department.

Qualifications

  • Engineering background (B.Sc. or higher): the role is intended as a mid-to-high-level position.
  • Advanced technical understanding of blade technology and repair methods.
  • Good understanding of the blade and rotor from a system perspective.
  • Experience in process documentation or customer communication is ideal.
  • Solid stakeholder management and an aspiration to develop in a new role.
  • Ability to convey complex problems in a pragmatic and accessible manner, both to a technical and non-technical audience.
  • Good overview and planning skills.
