APAC Service & Construction Academy is a Regional function covering countries in Asia Pacific including India, China, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Taiwan, South Korea, Mongolia, Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, Srilanka etc. We have state of the artt Training centres in Chennai-India, Beijing - China, Geelong-Australia and On-site training at various locations in the region to meet the training needs of our internal & external customers i.e. Vestas employees as well as the employees of our customers & sub-contractors.


Responsibilities
  • Deliver Safety & Technical training to Vestas Technicians, Contractors, Sub-Contractors, Vestas' customers and Vestas employees in other functions.
  • On-site training delivery as and when required
  • Contribute towards maintenance & development of various courses by creating change requests based on turbine upgrades.
  • Follow-up with course results & feedback in LMS after the course completion.
  • Be responsible for the maintenance of Training simulators and tools used for Training delivery, so they are available in good condition for use during the Training.
  • Ensure Tools, Spares and Consumables required for Training delivery are maintained sufficiently at all times.
  • Contribute to Special Projects as needed.

Qualifications
  • Technical education background with a degree or diploma in Engineering - Electrical / Electronics / Mechanical
  • Industrial experience of 10 years including at least 5 years in Wind Turbine industry in a Technical role such as Service Engineering, O&M, Technical Support, Technical Training etc.,
  • Communication skills - proficiency in English as well as local language
  • Knowledge of other Asian languages - Chinese / Japanese / Korean / Vietnamese is an added advantage but not a requirement.

  • Ability to perform as a collaborator with a positive attitude
  • Interest and ability to coach others
  • Computer skills_ proficiency with MS office and basic development tools
  • Physical fitness to be able to visit wind farm sites and climb on Wind Turbine towers (occasionally)
  • Willingness to travel across the country as well as overseas
