The objective of Digital Solutions is to digitally transform Vestas to enable stronger customer focus, scalability and profitability. Digital Solutions are responsible for improving IT efficiency, integrate digital solutions further into its customer offering, improve employees' digital experience and support core processes across the value chain. Digital Product Lifecycle, part of Digital Solutions, is accountable for digital solutions within the area of Industry 4.0 and Product Lifecycle Management - from management of master data to utilization of extended reality, simulation and configuration tools, and Industrial IoT. As Siemens Engineer, you will be part of a new chapter working with solutions within the Siemens Teamcenter Manufacturing Suite, and be a part of the Value Chain Simulation Tools-product team. Working closely with the product team you will be accountable for developing and supporting high quality simulation solutions and thereby actively participate in the digital transformation in Vestas. The chapter is managed out of Chennai in India, but where you reside is secondary.


Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical development and system administration for Siemens Teamcenter Manufacturing Suite, Process Simulate, and other digital manufacturing tools
  • Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Product Architects, and Product Area Architect to define technical roadmaps and deliver high-impact features
  • Drive development activities across Teamcenter modules, including ITK customizations, BMIDE configurations, workflows, and query/report creation
  • Manage Teamcenter administrative activities including installation, configuration, user and access control, workflow management, patching, and performance optimization
  • Support and integrate simulation tools like Process Simulate, Plant Simulation, VisMockup, and NX within the Teamcenter environment
  • Lead the implementation of new features, integrations, and system upgrades across the product area landscape
  • Ensure integration and interoperability between Teamcenter, ERP (e.g., SAP), MES (e.g., Apriso), and other enterprise systems
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, test plans, and support procedures
  • Actively contribute to system upgrades, performance improvements, and issue resolution
  • Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance to support teams
  • Ensure compliance with IT security standards and best practices in Teamcenter deployment and operations
  • Stay current with new advancements in digital manufacturing and Siemens PLM ecosystem, recommending innovative enhancements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent technical field
  • 8+ years of experience working with Siemens Teamcenter, particularly in manufacturing domains
  • In-depth knowledge of Teamcenter architecture and Teamcenter development including ITK, RAC, BMIDE, workflows, and SOA/REST APIs
  • Strong experience with Teamcenter installation, server configuration, environment management, and troubleshooting
  • Solid working knowledge of Siemens Technomatix tools, especially Process Simulate
  • Familiarity with Plant Simulation, VisMockup, NX, and 3D model management in a simulation context
  • Experience with 3D model/data conversion and management in a simulation environment
  • Exposure to Autodesk FlexSIM is an added advantage
  • Experience with integrating PLM with ERP/MES tools such as Windchill, SAP and Apriso
  • Familiarity with containerization (e.g., Docker/Kubernetes) and DevOps practices is an advantage
  • Experience with version control systems and agile development practices

  • Proficiency, primarily, in configuring and customizing Siemens Teamcenter Manufacturing Suite and Siemens Technomatix
  • Motivated, open-minded, and willing to learn
  • Know-how to apply design and testing methods and tools
  • Know-how to apply agile practices
  • Diligent to deliver good quality code, documentation and manage repository
