Global Operations Engineering > Turbine Operations Engineering > SDC Turbine Engineer
TOE SDC is part of Turbine Operations Engineering team (Global function). Service Delivery Centre (SDC) contributes to the growth of Vestas Service by directly involving with Service Business Units (SBUs) on Blades and General CIR reviews, VGA Maintenance / Tech. review and field support. Being a part of Global function we want to be best and keep developing ourself to deliver best. We review CIR created by site technicians or engineers across globe on Vestas CIR Portal and third party drone portals. We maintain Vestas Global adviser ( VGA ) portal upto date by new guide additions and upgrading the existing guides. VGA is tool used across Vestas to troubleshoot turbine related concerns. We are responsible to support SBUs to achieve service target by doing day to day technical task through remote working structure.
Responsibilities
Creating or updating (Technical review) trouble shooting guides (VGA) of Onshore, Offshore and MB platforms.
Conduct weekly/monthly call with the stakeholder in order to align the VGA progress & support stakeholder to deliver feedback on time.
Create database as needed to support digitization, data analysis and minimize the backlog.
Creation and update the unscheduled Task-list requests as part of LEAN
Provide 2nd-level expert technical support to Service and Construction
Provide support to service operation on the resolution of turbine alarms/alerts
Liaise with other technical staff throughout the company (worldwide) as part of solving technical issues.
Action plan creation and deployment in collaboration with regions for VGA on time delivery and LPF/LD reduction.
Brain storming sessions with site tech., functional specialist and Vestas Power solution for development of high quality troubleshooting guides.
Strive for best quality of VGA Guides through continuous improvement in process or innovation.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
Minimum 8+yrs of experience in technical support, Troubleshooting, commissioning and Service.
5+ years of site experience in WTG troubleshooting is must.
Multiband experience (GE/ Gamesa / Suzlon / Senvion etc.) is added advantage.
Knowledge of Power BI / Data analysis tool is added advantage.
Competencies
Willingness to work in an international team with different cultures and with external consultants
Good self-organizational skills and independent working style
Good background in mechanical and electrical engineering, esp. in wind energy technology
Experience in creation and evaluating of the work instructions
Good knowledge of WTG control systems (Toolkit, VOB, VTM, VAX, Windchill etc.)
Efficient technical skills with emphasis on diagnostics, troubleshooting, technical investigation and root cause analysis
