Siting Assistant Lead Engineer

Siting Specialist Support team directly supports the siting and sales team with customized site specific solutions to be more competitive in the ever growing wind turbine market. You will be a part of a highly skilled team which continuously ensures that Vestas provides best in class site suitability solutions, working across different departments.

Responsibilities
- Conduct statistical modeling and evaluation of wind and site data, ensuring accurate characterization of wind resources and site conditions.
- Design and optimize wind turbine layouts to meet standards, maximize energy production, and minimize Levelized Cost of Energy (LCOE).
- Perform load calculations to validate turbine design life and manage technical risks through comprehensive load analysis and operational strategy development.
- Support sales and project workflows by delivering technical and commercial responses to customers, consultants, and internal stakeholders.
- Identify and leverage value engineering opportunities to enhance competitive positioning.
- Lead and contribute to team-level technical improvement initiatives and provide technical support as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering; preference for Mechanical or Aerospace disciplines.
- Minimum 4 years of engineering experience, with a focus on wind resource assessment and sales support.
- Proficient in written and spoken English.
- Experience with industry-standard software such as WAsP, windPRO, and OpenWind is highly desirable.
- Strong interest in wind energy, terrain analysis, aerodynamics, and structural loading
