Engineering & Business Service Center > Engineering > Manufacturing Design & EAM
Engineering function, having expertise in technical documentation, process and layout design, Tooling design, PDM testing automation and NDT supports Vestas global strategies through process optimization, production support, test validation, cost control and E2E project management. We enact creative solutions and propel continuous improvement culture to make Vestas vision come true. This role is part of Manufacturing design and EAM team, where process design creation/ revision through storyboards, process work instruction and Design for Manufacturing(DFM) concepts are being worked out.
Responsibilities
New Product/Production line introduction (NPI)
Defining assembly sequences (Storyboards) from Manufacturing concept
Detailing design for assembly concept to provide input for work instruction and Line layout creation
Project/ Configuration based approach towards storyboard preparation
Read & Interpret engineering drawing & other production documentation to create new PWIs working along with NPI teams
Elaborate and Support work instruction creation team with assembly process design
Report to global PE function on weekly status of task completion
Qualifications
Degree in Engineering, (Mechanical)
At least 4 years of product/ process engineering experience
Proficient in MS Office 365 applications for reporting day to day progress
Competencies
Experience in PLM concept & system (Windchill)
Exposure in working with 3D modelling software like CREO/ Solidworks
Design for Manufacturing and MPM link is an added advantage
NPI/ NPD of WTG assembly/ Heavy equipment manufacturing
Project handling/ management exposure
Having exposure in the field of either Wind turbine part manufacturing (Blade/ Nacelles/ Towers/ Controls) OR any assembly line exposure is an added advantage
