Product Management propels Vestas' Product Strategy making sure that Vestas always has the right motivated product offerings to stay ahead of competitors. Product Management has a global reach into our sales regions, including responsibility for technical sales and bid management, Wind & Site Engineering, and Balance of Plant and SCADA Engineering.
Power System Consulting team is based in Chennai. This team is one of the functions in product management. Our role is to support the global Technical Sales Management organization for Wind and hybrid power plant grid interconnection studies and grid code compliance.

Responsibilities

• Simulation and modelling of the wind Power Plant including WTG, PV and storage

• Studying grid interconnection requirement and grid codes

• Evaluating site specific grid interconnection solutions

• Design or review the design for the BoP (balance of plant) for wind power plant

• Presentations and meeting with Grid operators/customers for project specific needs

• Work in close co-ordination with the Regional Technical Sale support team

• Report writing

  
  

Qualifications

• You hold a B.E / ME in Electrical Engineering or equivalent

• Minimum industry experience of 3 years is required for instance in renewable energy

• You should possess great communication skills

• You speak and write English fluently

  
  

Competencies

• Knowledge of simulation tools like PSS/E Power Factory, PSCAD, or equivalent

• Experience of working for substation design and power system analysis

• Solid electrical engineering background in relation to the substation engineering, Load flows, short circuit, transient analysis, relay settings and co-ordinations and BoP

• You are pro-enthusiastic, innovative and result oriented attitude

• Good at using MS-OFFICE products WORD, EXCEL, POWER POINT etc
