You will be part of the very important area, Yaw, Lubrication and Hydraulics within the Control HW organisation in Vestas' R&D. We develop the next generations control hardware solutions by utilizing the techniques of system engineering, modularization, and simulation to make the new wind turbines even smarter and thereby shaping the future of modern energy.
Your colleagues consists of Electrical Engineers, CAD Designers and technical leads based in Denmark and Chennai. The area is responsible for specifying and integrating the auxiliary control panels connected Yaw, Lubrication and Hydraulics in the Nacelle. Together with our suppliers, you will create solutions that are modular and can be reused across all our turbine platforms. The wind business is looking into an enormous increase and therefore one of our focuses are to reuse, simulate and automate more to deliver more with less.
The area is involved in various activities including innovation projects, feasibility studies and prototype testing, while focusing on product development as our main goal. Our core competencies are within electrical engineering, integration of products and requirements specifications. Your main responsibilities is to handle and provide solutions for VPS, in Control infrastructure
You will be responsible for designing and delivering high quality design solutions on time, on budget and efficiency improvement
Working in close interaction and collaboration with our global R&D teams as well as external suppliers
Creating designs according to Vestas stage gate model, from early idea/concept development stage, detailed design through verification and implementation
Providing electrical support to Service Technicians in troubleshooting and repair via phone / ticket or on site
Evaluating damages on main components and perform RCAs, give recommendations to Service organization
Identify, develop and validate technical improvement measures as part of the continuous improvement process
Providing answers to technical questions to internal and external stakeholders, taking part in customer or supplier meetings and seminars
Bachelor's / Master's in Electrical / Similar specialization
3+ years of professional senior experience with electrical design and detailed design
Knowledge with Control panel design
Knowledge of Low-Voltage component and system testing
Knowledge on International standards such as IEC, UL, etc., preferably IEC 60204-1 Machine directive
You have particular insight into the Nacelle and lubrication systems
Working experience from a global company is good to have
You have a natural deep understanding of knowledge-sharing, lead, guide and coach your colleagues
You are outgoing and communicate with power and trust
You find it challenging and interesting to work with other people in a large organisation and are capable of building up an intensive network across cultures and time zones
You have a high level of motivation and get things done
Advanced communication skills in English (oral and written)
