Within Vestas Power Solution business unit, the department Control Hardware Module is responsible for the design and development of Low Voltage control panels and the control system across various sections of Wind Turbine. Control Hardware module is inclusive of several submodules explicit to each sections of Wind Turbine.
You will be part of the Hub and Tower Power Distribution submodule, this submodule is responsible for the design, development and Integration of LV control panels to facilitate the auxiliary power distribution to the specific sections. You will create the design solution that are modular by utilizing the techniques of system engineering and simulations to build the new wind turbines smarter, efficient and more robust, thereby shaping the future of renewable energy.
Responsibilities
You will be delivering technical solutions to the product and deeply involved in project execution
You will be creating/updating the technical specifications, design verification plans, prepare procedures,and reports related to LV Panels and Cables
You will be creating/updating Electrical documentations like panel layouts, general arrangements, electrical schematics and Operation and Maintenance manuals
You will have major stake on locking interfaces with both Internal and external stakeholders and extensive involvement on technical discussion at various stages of design with suppliers
Support CADD design works and ensure it is documented according to Vestas execution gate model
You will be responsible of examine and handling the field issues, perform the root cause analysis and drive solution end to end upto implementation across the fleets
Support production for the new product prototype build and ensure smooth transition to running production
Participate in panels FAT at supplier end and support the product commissioning team during SAT
Identify, develop and validate the technical improvement as part of continuous improvement process
Qualifications
Bachelor / Master's degree in Electrical / Similar specialization
Minimum 3 to 8 years of relevant experience, in electrical system design
Experience within wind/energy Industry especially with WTGs will be preferred
Hands on experience on tools like E-plan, Creo view and Windchill (ETAP - would be an added advantage)
Experience on handling ECM (engineering change management) along the product life cycle
Knowledge on International standards such as IEC, UL, etc., preferably IEC 60204-1 Machine directive
Basic knowledge on EMC (Electromagnetic compatibility) design and testing requirements
Experience in product development process with knowledge of complete design and life cycle management
Experience in stakeholder management spanning full value chain

Have good communication skills - fluent in both verbal and written English
