Product Function, which is a part of the Product Solutions & Integration area, is anchored in Vestas Power Solutions (VPS). VPS is where new product ideas and technologies are developed, matured, tested, and improved. To put in short, VPS is the cornerstone of Vestas - we are shaping the future of modern energy. Product Solutions & Integration is responsible for designing the product architecture and product roadmap in response to market roadmap requirements. We translate product architecture and roadmap into module requirements and secures full value chain integration. Product Functions works on behalf of the product owner with the responsibility of developing and maintaining relevant strategies, requirements, technologies, and concepts of our wind turbines within established areas.

We are strengthening the Noise & Tonality team in Product Functions, and you will join the team that is responsible for the overall noise and tonality performance of our products. In essence, we ensure robust and compliant design of our products. We are involved in new turbine development, technology development and as well maintenance and optimization of our existing fleet.


Responsibilities


As part of the team your primary tasks and responsibilities are to:
  • Define product level and associated module level requirements. Define product level Noise and Tonality scope for Product projects
  • Ensure continues development of product noise and tonality performance and budgets. Ensure alignment and generic solutions for all our products
  • Steer and direct the Product projects towards set targets. Identify, own, and complete Technology projects in collaboration with peers
  • Setting Product level noise targets and cascading them to modules
  • Ensure noise performance compliance through the project development cycle. Noise test data deep dive and data interpretation
  • Develop test plans and deliver validation reviews
  • Continuously develop and optimize processes and tools


Qualifications


You will most likely have an M.Sc or B.Sc in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with specialization in noise and vibrations, or similar, with 10 years of Professional career in large international companies preferably the wind industry.
  • You have extensive experience within noise and vibrations
  • Experience with New product development, fleet quality improvement projects, Noise performance planning including Target setting and cascading
  • Experience with root cause study and countermeasure proposals for Noise exceedances
  • Skilled at stakeholder management across different functions and cultures
  • Programming using Python or Matlab
  • Prefer knowledge about system design and systems engineering and modularization

Your work location can be our office in Aarhus, Denmark, Porto Portugal, or Chennai India. You may have up to 15 travel days a year.
