Vestas Power Solutions (VPS) is where new product ideas are developed, matured, improved, and tested. Within Vestas Power Solutions (VPS), you'll find our department, Advanced Sensor Technologies, as part of Control Hardware.
Our department is committed to creating and sustaining cutting-edge sensor solutions for Vestas turbines. As a member of the Advanced Sensor Technologies team, you will contribute to defining requirements for advanced sensor solutions, take ownership of sensor system design and specifications, and coordinate integration, testing, and verification of the complete sensing system.

Responsibilities

  • Integrate various sensor systems into turbine hardware
  • Drive changes and improvements in sensor functions
  • Identify and specify new sensor solutions, overseeing qualification and integration
  • Coordinate technical tasks in projects, collaborating with stakeholders
  • Collaborate with CAD engineers for design and evaluation
  • Support sales projects by delivering customer-specific solutions
  • Provide technical documentation for installation, maintenance, and analyze failure modes for continuous improvement


Qualifications

We are seeking an ideal candidate with the following qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s or master's degree in Electrical, Electronics or relevant engineering studies
  • A minimum of 2-3 years of professional experience
  • Proficient in engineering change management. Hands-on experience working with Bill of Materials (BoM)
  • Demonstrated expertise in system integration and implementation, both electrical and mechanical aspects
  • Good understanding of system engineering principles and DFMEA (Design Failure Modes and Effects Analysis)
  • General knowledge of electrical systems and various sensor systems used in wind turbines
  • Good knowledge on EN/IEC standards on wind turbines (Beneficial)

Your work location will be our office in Aarhus, Denmark.
Up to 10 days of travel per year.
